In the famous science fiction movie "Minority Report" Tom Cruise, dressed as a policeman of the future, conduct its investigations interacting with the computer by moving his hands in the air without ever touching keyboards or other devices. In practice a technology "touch" without touching them. After seeing this scene in the movie, many companies are moving to make it really such a thing. And the goal may not be as far away as you might expect.
According to the prestigious MIT in Boston who is working on this objective, within 5 years, this technology could be available to all.
The prototype is based on the MIT lycra gloves and a webcam. Each glove is available twenty irregular forms of ten different colors. These forms are detected by the camera and translated into commands based on gestures made with hands.
The combination of form and color the system is able to reconstruct a three-dimensional configuration of the hand, fingers and how they move.
If the searches are being carried out by the MIT will be successful soon the man-machine interaction will change dramatically.
